BIOGRAPHY

I'm Nizan Dhiaulhaq, a backend engineer who also enjoys bringing full-stack ideas to life. Currently, I work at Voltras International, where I build scalable backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture to power a B2B travel platform. I've developed and maintained gateway services that integrate with major airline APIs like Sabre and other GDS/NDC suppliers, helping streamline real-time booking experiences.

Before diving deep into backend engineering, I built several full-stack systems using Laravel, CodeIgniter, React.js, and Tailwind CSS. From user-facing dashboards to internal management tools. That journey gave me a strong sense of how frontend and backend decisions shape user experience and system flow as a whole. I love solving messy backend challenges, optimizing data flows, and writing code that quietly makes everything else run smoother.

P.S. I still get excited over a clean UI, a clever React component, or a perfectly placed anime reference. Also, not an AI-generated person—promise 😄.

  • Backend Developer @PT Voltras International

    Dec 2024 - Present | Yogyakarta, Indonesia

Successfully developed and deployed a new Airline Gateway Service from scratch, integrating external airline supplier APIs into our system to support seamless communication and data exchange—used directly by all end users. Maintained and optimized our existing gateway for Sabre GDS integration, ensuring smooth real-time interactions with airline suppliers. Solved a critical pricing issue involving currency conversion and rounding mismatches, delivering a hybrid solution that preserved backend integrity while aligning with user display needs. Proposed and implemented an efficient alternative to caching by optimizing database queries and using a scheduler to manage data retrieval within resource constraints.

  • Frontend Web Developer @PT Citra Numusi Birawa

    Aug 2023 - Jan 2024 | Remote, Indonesia

Developed projects as part of the final project requirement for graduation from UGM. Implemented interface designs created by the UI/UX designer using Laravel, jQuery, and Bootstrap CSS. Improved website performance, achieving an average total blocking time of 0.002 ms for JavaScript script performance.

  • Software Engineer Intern @PT DW International (Stone Depot)

    Feb 2023 - Feb 2024 | Cirebon, Indonesia

Developed and maintained internal ERP systems using Laravel, CodeIgniter frameworks, and React Js. Migrated the internal ERP system from CodeIgniter to Laravel within three months, working as one of only two developers. Demonstrated strong front-end and back-end development skills with proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL. Created user-friendly and efficient web applications that met the needs of clients and users.
